Moonbathing

Moonbathing is an Addams Family tradition.

The Original Series

Morticia says the moon has marvelous restorative powers for Addamses. Gomez cautions Uncle Fester about using a reflector, saying he should work up gradually to a nice coat of gray. On a different outing, Morticia cautions Gomez about moonburn, but he says his skin's so white it won't peel anymore. Another night, Gomez looks forward to getting an excellent moonburn. While gazing through a telescope, Gomez once mistook the back of Fester's head for the full moon. After previously eating the goose grease instead of applying it to his skin, Fester refuses Morticia's offer of Moontan Lotion, saying it gives him heartburn.
